Hello Instructor Kelsey and my fellow classmates,
I am looking forward to this class and engaging with you throughout this term. This is my first class with Brandmen University. I have decided to complete my degree in Liberal Studies and continue on with my credentialing to become an elementary school teacher. I look forward to being an asset in instructing the next generation.
When I am not working, I enjoy finding a nice quiet place to kick up my feet and read a good book. I have lost many hours to the pages of a book I could not put down. Because of this, I could see myself researching a topic in children's literature. I would like to improve on citing sources since that has never been a strength for me. I am also interested in what our book "Research Strategies" talked about as far as discerning whether information on the web is reliable, how to access journal articles and possibly utilize these for my research.
I look forward to corresponding with everyone!
Hi Kristen,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog entry; I completely relate to the quiet time with a good book! Like you, this is my very first class at Brandman and I am completing my BA in Liberal Studies as well. My goal is to become either a high school teacher or college instructor.
I think the topic you have selected is relevant and important, especially for the field you intend to go into. I have encountered the same struggle when it comes to finding reliable sources, and I believe this class will greatly assist us in learning to become successful researchers.
Good luck in class and in your career goals!

Hello Kristen,
ReplyDeleteMy son who is 11 came up to me a couple of days ago, got my attention and said "Check this out". Him and is classmates made a video on the WEE game system in his after school program just clowning around. I was already impressed about that. Then he looks at me and says, " You want to watch it, I posted it on You Tube". I was scared and Hella impressed all at the same time.
So, althouh I had been apposed to electronics in the classsroom, I am really starting to see the many benefits all around.
